Spice Up Your Dinner with Piri Piri Pasta

Looking for a new way to enjoy pasta night? How about adding a little heat and a lot of flavour with Mushed by YOU Piri-Piri Sauce! This recipe combines the creamy richness of pasta with the zesty kick of piri-piri for a meal that's bold, satisfying, and super easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. dried pasta: Any kind of pasta works, from penne to spaghetti.
  • 12 oz. chicken breast: Cut into 1-inch cubes for perfect bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil: A key ingredient for searing the chicken.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream: This adds richness to balance the heat.
  • 2 tbsp Mushed By YOU Piri Piri Sauce: The star of the dish, bringing all the spice!
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder: For a hint of earthy flavour.
  • 1/2 tsp paprika: Adds a warm smokiness to the dish.
  • Fresh herbs, salt, and pepper: Optional garnishes to finish it off.

  • Instructions:

    1. Boil the Pasta: Start by boiling your dried pasta according to package instructions. Be sure to cook it al dente so it holds up when mixed with the sauce.

    2. Sear the Chicken: While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.

    3. Make the Sauce: Once the chicken is ready, reduce the heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream, then add the Mushed by YOU Piri-Piri Sauce, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir everything together until well-combined and let it simmer for a minute or two to meld the flavours.

    4. Combine with Pasta: Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss everything together so the pasta is fully coated in the creamy, spicy sauce. Let it cook for another 1-2 minutes to ensure the flavours soak into the pasta.

    5. Garnish and Serve: Plate your piri-piri pasta, and top it with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro if you like. A little extra salt and pepper to taste, and you’re ready to enjoy!

This piri-piri pasta is perfect for any night of the week. It’s not only quick and easy but also customizable. Prefer more spice? Add an extra spoonful of piri-piri sauce. Want more veggies? Add in bell peppers or spinach for added texture and nutrients. Happy cooking!
